Windows Phone 8 was officially mentioned in an advertisement published by Microsoft, which sought developers and designers that are dedicated specifically to OOBE (out-the-box-experience0 of the next generation Windows smartphone.
The Redmond company was in fact looking for professionals to be included in the team consumer experience of Windows Phone 8, here’s the notice:

The Windows Phone team is taking on a huge challenge stirring up the out of box experience for Windows Phone 8 and is committed to building/improving a compelling and dynamic high quality look and feel to our end user experience.
The objective of the company seems to want to create a unique ecosystem which includes PC and smartphone, seen not as separate units but are part of the same family.
New details may be revealed at the conference BUILD scheduled for next month. We will keep you posted.
