iPad: The ebook and netbook slayer

We have entered the star trek era! Welcome to the future everyone.

As rumored, Apple’s new creation looks like an iPhone on steroids, complete with a home button and glass touch screen. Just like what you come to expect to any Apple creation, the device looks simple and well built. The display has a full multi-touch panel with LED-backlit display that has great viewing angle. The back is aluminum. The power, sleep, and volume controls are conveniently located at the side of the device.

The IPad is powered by a 1GHz Apple “A4” custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip. The device has between 16 and 64GB of memory, it has EDR wireless and Bluetooth technology for connectivity, has a speaker, microphone, and also contains Apple’s accelerometers, ambient light sensors, and digital compass. The battery will last for about 10 hours of usage and nearly a month of standby time.

The IPad has been on the drawing board for well over a year, with hundreds of engineers and software developers working round the clock bring this technological marvel to life.

This device could actually become an eBook and netbook killer. It’s just a matter of time before we see people walking around tinkering their own personal iPad.

This device will be available in 60 days for the Wi-Fi only model and 90 days for Wi-Fi + 3G.

  3. When you look at it closely, its pretty reasonably priced. Compare it to other netbook or tablet PC, it think this one is better.

The only problem with this device is, it does not have an expandable memory so you have to stick with 16GB 32GB, 64GM.

I think you have to wait for a while, maybe a quarter or two. I am sure that Apple is going to release different version of this one, they might release an iPad with a camera. (remember the inano 5th gen?)
