If you ask bloggers and webmasters what they think of Google AdSense, you’ll probably get all sorts of answers. Some people love it, some will say that it’s OK, and some hate it because they can’t seem to make money off from it.
I’ve been using AdSense for a couple of months now, and I’m very happy with it. My 5th check from Google is due to arrive this month.
When it comes to monetizing your blog or website, I think AdSense is the best advertising platform on the Internet.
Here’s why:
1. AdSense Has The Most Advertisers
Wherever you are, I’m pretty sure there is a business in your locale that is using AdSense to advertise their products. I live in the Philippine, and every time I view my site, there is always a Philippine based company showing on my ads.
Unlike other advertising platforms on the web. AdSense has the most number of Advertisers. This means that wherever you are, you will get your units filled with relevant ads based on the location where your visitor is accessing your site.
2. Content Targeting That Works
Most advertising networks claims to only display relevant ads that matches the content of your site, but few actually work.
Content targeting only works when a platform has a huge number of companies and businesses using it, and Google AdSense has these numbers. You can be sure that when you put AdSense on your blog or website, you will only see ads that are relevant to the content of your website.
3. No Payment Delays
Google AdSense is one of the most respected advertising company in the world. Countless of bloggers and website administrators already made thousands of dollars using the platform. It doesn’t matter if you are running a personal blog or a huge website, you can always count on Google to send you your earnings on time – that is if there is no hold on your account.
4. Easy Setup
Most advertising companies requires a minimum traffic level before they can let you join. And sometimes, after they approve your application, you have to go through very laborious setup and verification process before you can start earning.
With AdSense, all you have to do is sign up for a Google account, register your account to adsense and you’re done.
Of course you have to wait for Google to validate your account before you can actually start earning some cash.
5. AdSense Blends Well
Some people don’t like placing ads because they are afraid that their site might become cluttered and ugly. With Google AdSense, you don’t have to worry about that ever again.
AdSense units are customizable. You can change the colors and sizes of your ad unit depending on your preference.
