Olympus has stated that it received capital alliance offers from Fujifilm Holdings, Sony Corp. and Terumo Co. through its financial advisor. The company is said to reach a decision at the general shareholders’ meeting slated later in June, whether to form a tie-up or going its own way. The company expects double-digit gains in revenue and operational profit for the 2011/12 fiscal year thanks to the release of new endoscope products, while imaging business may post a loss for the two years in straight. The company may reduce employees and consolidation of factories of division.
